THE HISTORY OF OUR TRANSPORT COMPANY IN WORDS AND PICTURES
The origins of Transport Nieuwenhuyse go back some time. Our transport company was founded in 1953 as a one-man business by Jacques Nieuwenhuyse. Our core business at the time consisted of removals and national transport.
1953
Jacques was soon joined by Frans and his youngest brother John, which gave the company a new name: "Jacques Nieuwenhuyse en co".
1979
The current manager Guido Nieuwenhuyse joined the business a little later - in 1979. He then joined his parents' company as a driver.
1997
In 1997, our transport company was taken over by Guido Nieuwenhuyse and his then-wife Linda.
1972
In 1972, Frans Nieuwenhuyse and Denise Vandewiele took over the company.
1990
Initially, the company was located in Sint-Denijsestraat in Kortrijk, but the company's expansion forced it to relocate. Transport Nieuwenhuyse moved to a brand-new site in Zwevegem (Moen) in 1990. Warehouses for storage and transhipment were also immediately built there.
2019
Since 2019, Guido Nieuwenhuyse has been the sole head of Nieuwenhuyse BVBA
